Chelmsford was granted ‘City Status’ on the 6th June 2012. This was probably due to the enormous growth in the city’s population and regeneration in both the residential and commercial sectors. It was originally an agricultural and market town but now houses many national and international corporations.
Many people and business’s have chosen to relocate in Chelmsford due to it’s fast and easy links to the capital. Commuting times into London are approximately 30-35 minutes by train.
Planning applications and permits are to be obtained from Chelmsford City Council.
